Although we strive to provide a safe and efficient service, and indeed our
safety record is impeccable, there are real risks associated with outdoor
activities. The risk of injury is unavoidable in the outdoor environment in
which we teach. We cannot absolutely guarantee complete immunity from danger.
What we can do is create standardized operating procedures and combine these
with rigorous training for our professional staff, to ensure that course
activities are as safe as human ingenuity can make them.
We supply all safety equipment and ensure that the equipment itself is in good
working order. All harnesses and binding are check by your qualified instructor for
correct and safe fitting before you participate in any activity.
You will also be briefed on the proper course of action should anything
happen, therefore you will be prepared and organized so as to foresee
hazards as far as possible.
Developing an understanding for risk, and how to minimize it, is an integral
part of your training. Most come to ctb-UK
with little or no previous experience. Our instructors teach essential
technical skills, starting from a beginner's level. Through our method of
hands-on learning you quickly learn that you can, and must, bear some
responsibility for their our safety and that of your colleagues. The best news
is, these lessons stay with you as you return to your everyday life.
In the unlikely event that anything does happen
we are fully insured with all activities being covered by a minimum
of £1,000,000 public liability insurance.
